How To Treat A Fungal Infection?

There are many types of fungal infections, including jock itch and ringworm. These infections are caused by fungus tinea. Candida albicans is another common fungal infection. People with weak immune systems are more susceptible to fungal infections. Diabetic patients are also more likely than others to get fungal infections. This is due to the increased glucose levels in the body.

    Good to know

This higher sugar level provides food for some fungus, and encourages their growth. Itchy red patches appear as a result of the fungus. It can spread to other areas of the body. Usually, fungal infection is seen during the rainy season. Other symptoms include circular lesions that can be itchy and scaly, and may appear on any area of the body.

Nail fungus can cause rigidity, dryness, discoloration, and black streaks on the nails. Ringworms, a common fungal infection, infect the inner and outer thighs as well as the groins. Fungal infection can also cause hair loss, baldness, scaling, and itching.
