Nearly everyone experiences a headache from now on. For those with chronic headache symptoms, it can make daily life difficult. If you have severe headaches, it is possible to require medical attention. Although frequent headaches can be indicative of a headache syndrome such as migraines, sinusitis, or a sinus infection, it is important to seek medical attention if the condition persists for more than a few days and doesn’t get better.

Frequent Headaches

It’s a good idea to be safe. Frequent headaches can also be a sign of other conditions. People who have severe stress, neurological disorders, or sinus conditions are more likely to experience frequent headaches. All of these conditions can be treated with medical attention. Frequent headache sufferers should seek outside help if the symptoms persist for more than a few weeks or if they recur over a period of several days with no break.

Even if symptoms last for a few days, it is a good idea not to delay seeking medical attention if they become severe. Cluster, sinus and migraine are all common headache symptoms. These three types of headaches are very different and require different treatment.

Severe Pain

People who experience migraines often will feel moderate to severe pain. There is also the possibility of experiencing a heightened sensitivity to light or sound, along with nausea and vomiting. This is the most severe type of headache and can be difficult to treat.

Cluster headaches are another common type of headache. Cluster headaches can cause severe to moderate pain around one eye. These headaches can occur in clusters or in groups and may be associated with weakness. Although a sinus headache is the most common type of headache, it can be quite distressing.

These headaches can be caused by problems in the sinus system. The headaches will usually disappear if the sinus problem is addressed. It’s not fun to deal with frequent headaches.
