When I first started exploring the world of essential oils, M was the first thing I bought. Tea tree oil can be used to treat tooth pains and even eliminate acne. Melaleuca is a great way to reduce the amount of chemicals in your home. It is a great antidote to many health issues because of its anti-inflammatory and anti-septic properties.

Tea Tree Oil

What is tea tree oil used for exactly? Here are a few ways you can use this oil. Melaleuca contains a compound called terpinen-4ol which gives it antimicrobial properties. This is why melaleuca can be used as an antiseptic for wounds. For minor wounds, mix 1 part tea tree oil with 10 parts tepid water.

Use the mixture to clean the wound or use it as a cotton wool ball. It can also be used to treat insect bites. When my daughter was suffering from a severe bug bite, I tried the extender on her. My daughter had been worried about the itching. But, after applying a mixture of essential olive oil and melaleuca to the bug bite, she said that the itchiness had stopped.

Good to know

Mind lice can be eliminated with another tea tree oil use. You can combine it with a carrier oil, such as essential olive oil or coconut oils. I mixed a few drops of melaleuca with a few tbsps coconut oil and blew it into my daughter’s hair every morning before she went to school. It has worked well so far and she or he haven’t developed lice.

It also has the added benefit of being a natural moisturizer for her hair. TTO may be able to help your little one if they do get lice. Melaleuca is a natural pesticide. You can put 10-15 drops in a quarter of a cup of shampoo. (Alternatively, you could use a quarter of an oil instead of shampoo. However, it will be more difficult to clean out.)

Tooth pain and inflammation

This remedy would have been great when I was pregnant with my daughter, who had terrible tooth pains. Use a few drops of TTO in a cup of warm, tepid water to relieve tooth pain. Rinse your mouth with the mixture. It can help to numb the pain and possibly kill any bacteria. The toxic effects of melaleuca can be fatal if you swallow it. It may also help to reduce inflammation in people with periodontal disease.

Tea tree oil can also be used to treat athlete’s feet, which is similar to other conditions characterized by itching and inflammation. Tea tree oil can be used in a 10% strength to treat athlete’s feet. However, more concentrated remedies might be more effective at eliminating the problem.

Acne Treatment

Among all the uses of tea tree oil, acne is the most popular. Tea tree oil is anti-inflammatory and helps to fight acne. Use the melaleuca oil as a spot treatment by diluting it in honey or natural aloe vera. The effectiveness of a 5% solution tea tree oil in treating acne is comparable to that of a 5% solution benzoylperoxide. There are no unpleasant side effects such as dryness or reddening.

My sister suffers from a form of eczema called dyshidrosis. It can cause small, red sores on her hands and make them very scratchy. To help her with this, I have used melaleuca oil. It is the best oil to calm her eczema. It has a cooling sensation that calms her irritation and itchy skin. It also reduces the redness in her hands. I was amazed at the difference in her hands after she tried a few remedies. People with sensitive skin or eczema should not use TTO without extreme care. However, it is worth trying a small amount first to see if they are more sensitive than the general population.

Treating warts

Another use for melaleuca is to treat warts. After diluting the oil with water, or natural aloe vera, apply the mixture to the affected area and cover it with a bandage. You might also want to mix vinegar with the oil. Vinegar is another effective natural wart treatment. Tea tree oil works well against body odors.

You can either use a few drops in a bath or make your own deodorant soap. Although the cause of dandruff remains elusive, it is believed to be related to a specific type of fungus. Melaleuca, which is anti-yeast, may be an effective natural remedy for dandruff. Apply a few drops to your scalp before you take a shower. Tea tree oil can also be used to help with hair loss and regrowth. It works by helping to unclog hair follicles and thereby stimulating hair regrowth. Add a few drops of tea tree oil to your shampoo.
