There are many aromatic oils that you can use in aromatherapy, whether you’re using it as a standalone treatment or as part of a complementing first aid treatment. You should consider the following details when buying an oil: Latin Name, Country of Origin and Method of Extraction. I also provide a list of the best oils to consider when creating a combination.

Peppermint Essential Oil

Peppermint ( Mentha Piperita ) – This is a certified organic steam distillation leaf from England. The USA has wonderful distillations. A fluid, colorless oil, peppermint has a distinctive, penetrating fragrance. Peppermint acts both as a regulator and can have a relaxing or invigorating impact depending on the situation. It is both antiseptic as well as antibacterial, making it a great blood cleanser.

Peppermint is well-known for its ability to relieve migraine headaches. It has been shown to reduce nausea caused by motion sickness. It is also useful for treating toothache, swollen gums or mouth thrush, as well as acne and swollen gums. To relieve tired feet and swelling, soak your feet in a footbath with a few drops of Peppermint oil. Peppermint aids in concentration, relieves congestion, and helps with memory retention. It can also be used alone or in a combination to help you study for exams.

You can use it as a food flavoring or to add a little to your favorite cooling summer beverage and get a break from your day.

Combinations

You can make a combination of peppermint and any of these aromatic oils: Orange, Marjoram, Black Pepper, Ginger, or Rosemary. Peppermint is great for nausea but should be avoided during pregnancy because of its stimulating properties. Peppermint can cool you by constricting blood vessels so please only use very weak dilutions.
